BOX C WIMPY PSYLOCKE
Box C Wimpy Psylocke, Fiona for short, has a 95% Foundation Quarter Horse Registry percentage and her looks show it. APHA registered black & white Tobiano painted mare, She is out of the Wimpy line and such a wonderful horse not only in looks but in her disposition. Shown below in her first horse show...She was born in 1999, performs halter, is broke to the saddle, been on a quite a few trail rides, and has been shown locally in western riding and halter. She has brought home ribbons with just the little time we have spent with her in hand and under saddle.
Missy FiFi is a black & white heterozygous Tobiano. Which means she can produce a solid color foal. I believe she is homozygous for the black gene, though she has yet to be tested. Her previous foals have been a solid black, and a Tobiano with black points. Her last foal, a solid black with a silver streaked mane, was lost due to complications through her previous owners. That is how I ended up with her. That foal was to be mine because of the way I felt about this girl. I wanted one of her offspring and after the loss I purchased her from her previous owners. We have given her time to recoup from her loss and we have started riding her. We believe that she has the capability and we shall see.
Fiona is a gentle soul, willing and intelligent. She suffered from a bout of laminitis during her last foal issue with her previous owners and there is a severe crack in her right rear hoof that our farrier has been working on. It is just now starting to grow out and we all are watching it closely. We are keeping shoes on her for added support but we have all decided that she will always have that weak spot in her hoof & will be required to wear shoes for the remainder of her life.
My Fiona has one brown eye and one beautiful dark blue and brown swirled eye. We will make the attempt to bred Fiona later in her life. Her lineage, mannerisms, intelligence and looks will be a great asset to a foal with just the right sire. My Wimpy Chick...
