Welcome to the Cape Fear Trail Riders web page sponsored by Triple B Horses!

We invite you to join our organization, The Cape Fear Trail Riders, to have fun, share our love of horses, horse shows, horseback riding, to have traveling companions, fellowship and to enjoy the benefits of being a member of this non profit organization.

We need members who will benefit our organization, The Cape Fear Trail Riders.  We need members who will volunteer to work once a month, maybe twice a month cleaning, mowing, weed eating and picking up sticks and debris at the organizations home site on River Road in Wade, North Carolina.  Once a month the members meet at the arena to clean up and to keep it presentable.  Those members who join us in the clean up efforts are rewarded with lunch.  The meetings are held the 2nd Monday of every month, at 7:30 pm, with every other meeting being a covered dish dinner night.  The Cape Fear Trail Riders have been around many years and the Show Ring has just recently been renamed the W.C. Gardner Arena in honor of Mr. & Mrs. Gardner's kindness and efforts through out the years.

The Cape Fear Trail Riders offer many benefits with membership.  We have organized trail rides to various locations through out North Carolina and we are always looking for really nice places to ride.

The favorite of the Cape Fear Trail Riders, are the trips to the Blowing Rock Equestrian Preserve in the mountains of North Carolina.

The onsite stables are right where you park your horse trailer or tent, which ever the case maybe, with electrical hook ups and water, it is like a mini campground inside the stable area.  They are under construction building and updating the stables with new roofs and doors but there is plenty of space available to stay.  The rates are very decent.  You can stay 3 nights here for what it could cost you for one night at the beach in a hotel room...The whole group stays together in what we jokingly call the Cape Fear Trail Riders Spot...

They have showers, toilets and places to primp both for you and your horse.  There are miles of carriage trails to ride on with no worries of bicycles, 4-wheelers or such.  Just carriages, people walking and horses trail riding.  These trails are part of the Cone Manor House built many years ago.

The trails are nice, easy and clear trails to ride.  They do pass by the manor house if you would care to get off of the horse and visit a bit.

The sign shown above does say Cone Manor 1.3 miles and Bass Lake 2.1 miles...and no bicycles allowed!

Just down the road a piece is the town of Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad and just around the way is the town of Boone, North Carolina.

Another favorite, the Walthor Moss Foundation area.

A beautiful preserve with easy trails to ride for many miles.  The foundation covers approximately 4000 acres and is a wonderful area with it's sandy trails and wildlife preservation efforts. Please visit the Walthuour Moss Foundation Web Site to read about the history of the Foundation and the kindness of the Moss's.

The Cape Fear Trail Riders also have a yearly trip to Myrtle Beach or other places to see a show, voted on by members, and have dinner.  The shows vary, so do the dinners.

We extend an invitation to you to come and have dinner with the Cape Fear Trail Riders, see what we are all about and possibly join our organization to promote safe and happy moments of fellowship, our love for horses and trail riding...Call James at 910-890-0232 or email for more information and directions, we look forward to meeting with you at the next Cape Fear Trail Riders meeting!
