QTs Golden Crystal

2007 Double Homozygous Perlino Tovero APHA registered filly, we call her "Q"

Sire: QT's Crystal Bear X Dam: Kings Country Gold
Her dam is the daughter of Kings Country Gal, a grand daughter of Snow King, ROM Roping and sire of APHA Champions, ROM & SUP, HUS, Trail and ROM performers in Reining, Western Riding, HUS, Western Pleasre, WH, HH, and point earning offspring in  Reining, Working Cow Horse, Roping, and Jumping.  Kings Country Gal is out of Country Pooh (AQHA) dam of HLT and performance point earning offspring by Country (AQHA) Halter point earner and sire of ROM performers, NCHA money earners and point earning offspring in Halter.

Her Sire is QT's Crystal Bear (APHA Buckskin Homozygous Tobiano), APHA ROM in Reining, NRHA Money earner $12,000+, 9 time bronze trophy winner and  2003 NRHA Reserve World Champion.

"Q" is a lovely yearling filly with very wicked Ice Blue eyes and a new addition to our home.  Her DNA has been tested and she double homozygous for the cream gene as well as the tobiano gene which means not only will she produce painted foals BUT she will always produce diluted coat foals.  When bred she may produce a painted buckskin, painted palomino, painted smokey creme, painted smokey grullo, painted dunskin, painted cremello or a painted perlino.  The probabilities are higher for a cremello or perlino when bred to a palomino or a buckskin...any color will be diluted due to the double cream genes she carries.

Her eyes are lighter than the blue halter she has on and towards the evening when the sun is going down her pupils become very large and black inside those ice blue eyes and she looks incredible!  I will have to get used to those eyes and the lighter coloring around her muzzle and eye area and try to get a picture of her eyes when dusk is at hand.  It is a sight to see...

It is difficult to make out her tobiano pattern due to the fact she has been sitting in a sunny pen and is considerably bleached out.  Below is a picture of her when she was foaled and I believe she will darken considerably while in the shade.

Her dam, Kings Country Gold, currently residing in Europe with Noella and under saddle.

and her sire, QTs Crystal Bear

The picture below was taken as a foal and shows off her darker coloration.  She should darken up once again, we try to keep our horses in the shade as much as possible.
