TRIPLE B TRAILS 2 Triple B Trails continue on, these pages will contain photos and little blog splats of our trail rides around our property and any others that we head out to...lots of photos, so long loading times... If you have any interesting places that you ride, please send a little blog splat to us via email and I will post it here along with a couple of photos! August 23, 2009 Back to Raven Rock State Park! Mr. Roy Carter and his horse Rusty, Scott & Sarah, with Freckles and Jasmine, Nadja and Dusty, James and Von Whiz, and myself with Isabella, hit the trails on Sunday morning for what I hoped was an uneventful trip...Thank you Nadja for taking this photo of us as well as the other photos you took today!

Traveling the trails, little did I know I was about to be the entertainment, that is, my Izzy and myself...
Now, the water feature. Looks innocent enough, WRONG!

The LITTLE STREAM, as it was referred to by Nadja and James, was just a little bit more, especially after the big rains we had Saturday evening...They were both convinced that the beauty of the falls would overshadow my lack of self confidence to cross the "LITTLE STREAM" but they did not count upon my Isabelle's crazy notion that she was not going to go down the steps to GET to the "MAD RUSHING STREAM!"
My darling husband and hero, James, came back and dismounted to lead Izzy down the steps and into the water we went. She stepped down and proceeded to let the current take her down stream...my confidence skyrocketed after that! I told her "NO FREAKING WAY ARE WE GOING DOWN STREAM!" as I started kicking and urging her towards the other side of the crossing. The turd thought she was going swimming, and all I could think of was I would have to climb a BIGGER HILL if we kept up this down stream motion! Well, she made it, & I made it! Not to quietly, but we did it together! After that, it was a piece of cake...but, there were HILLS, minor inclines, but still...
Sarah and Scott were patient, their horses are fast walkers and like to go, go, go! Next time we are sending them out front and they can come back to visit with us every now and again...
Nadja being silly...though she found a really nice riding crop on the trail.
AND she took a great photo of herself while riding, clear as a bell, which is better than a lot of the other photos, James...GOOD JOB GIRL! Nadja is going home to Germany for a visit, we will miss her crazy antics on the trail for a while, she told me, "NO NEW TRAIL RIDING PLACES UNTIL SHE RETURNS," I told her, "OK!"

I survived, so did Isabelle...the bad part is I know what I have to go back to do...Izzy and I have to cross that "LITTLE STREAM" just the two of us...OH BOY! The adventure will continue... |
