My son wanted to go this time! I was so happy, it would be the first away from home ride with my son... He took Levi with him. See Izzy and her pal, Levi?
We had a nice ride but boy was it hot! James had to work and we did not think we would get to go but he came home early, we loaded up and went!
Izzy and I went across the water, slowly but we did it!
Even came back and did it again! She did not drink but she was checking it out...
My son had a nice time as well. He stuck to me like glue and I loved every minute of it.
James took great pictures this trip. He is getting the hang of picture taking on horse back. The shots are clear and not fuzzy, way to go husband!

James did really well getting ANY pictures of AJ, he always manages to get out of a picture... REALLY, REALLY, GOOD JOB, James!

Nothing better than riding with your family! Only if your hubby was in the picture...
Our son suffers from Schuermanns Disease and will always experience some type of back pain. Some days are worse than others but thankfully he has great upper body strength which will help him during the tougher times...Hang in there baby boy! Several of his vertebrae have wedged during his growth, it continues to worsen as he ages, but he is very athletic and his strength HOPEFULLY will keep him from experiencing the worse possible outlook of Schuermanns...as parents, we can only hope...For now he just gets off the horse for a bit, to walk.
I, on the other hand, cannot simply get off the horse...when my knee starts turning on the heat, I cannot just jump off the horse and walk a bit...I would have to hobble until the knee starts to cooperate again...Oh well, might as well stay on the horse & deal with the pain.
Oh look! Everyone is happy to be going back home, it was rather hot, that is why we prefer the early morning rides... ]
These two are just looking for something to get into...
Taking a break next week, and staying home...doing chores that we should have already done...We should be heading back to Raven Rock when Nadja returns and onto Uwharrie, that ought to be interesting... Where to now? Urwharrie? |
