ZHIPS CARAMEL WAVES, APHA registered

A Recipe for beauty...

take a dash of AKS Rip Tide, shown below,

blend with the lovely Zhip Me Bay Bee, shown below,

the results, shown below, at birth, are fabulous!

Just for your review, AKS Rip Tide and Zhip Me Bay Bee's previous foal, Zhips Dun Makin Waves, shown below at the age of 2 months and 2.5 months.

This combination has given us two beautiful APHA Painted Duns, one is a double homozygous (Tobiano & Black), the other has yet to be tested, but she will...They both carry the Dun dilution gene and they both express the Primitive Dun Zebra stripes on their legs and a very prominent Dorsal Stripe down their back.  The stud colt's markings are in a dark black where the filly seems to be displaying a reverse stripe effect and hers are showing to be white.  A final determination cannot be made until her foal shed is completed.  Notice she has a black star on her forehead instead of the usual white.  She is indeed a special little girl...of course foal shed could change her completely...

Although she was imprinted at birth, she is handled daily, held, rubbed, talked to, listens to the radio, experiences loud noises and has her feet picked up.  We believe in putting "hands on" our babies.

She is halter trained and is leading.

This little filly is growing into a beautiful young lady...

My little beauty, considered a yearling, she turns 1 in April, 2009, she is awesome!  She looks like her sire...shown below.

The photo below was taken Sept 2009, she is developing the forelock & mane, made famous by her sire...she has the makings of a tall girl like her dam, Zhip Me Bay Bee, 16 hands...

Zhips Caramel Waves, a sweetie of a filly...
