FQHA & AQHA Lady Van Belle, double registered Our newest addition to Triple B Horses, and my very first registered Quarter Horse. Miss Belle is a soft spoken mare with liquid pools for eyes. She is very willing, responsive and eager to please and built! She is a 10 (1998) year old brood mare thick with foundation lines, she displays the Dun factors and I believe carries the cream gene. Her conformation is excellent and we expect proper, perfect little foals from this lady. I will have her DNA tested to verify just what she is capable of producing. She is listed as 93.75% foundation quarter horse and will be registered with the FQHA asap...now see our listing at the FQHA web site! http://www.fqha.com/fqha_member_websites.htm
She is in foal for 2009, due in May to early June, to a grandson of Sonny Dee Bar, Crossovers Last Buck, or Jaws as I call him, shown below. He is a gorgeous buckskin stallion and we expect a gorgeous foal.
Miss Belle is in the process of learning there is more to life than being a brood mare. She has shown intelligence, and a softness that we are excited about including in our breeding program. I will post pictures of her cleaned up and not newly introduced into our element even though she has taken the transition very well. The picture below, dated Oct 2008, show her in pasture condition where she has been for the past couple of years as well as showing her in foal.
After being with us about half a month...she is starting to round out nicely.
She is reliving a mountain moment! It snowed in our area! 1-20-09

Photo taken May 2nd, slowly but surely bagging up!
May 4, 2009, hanging low! Hopefully, not much longer...
Have to love Mother Nature, her udder has shrunk, she is no longer bagging up. I still have no baby... She is going to be one of those sneaky mares, I betcha! 10 days after bagging up, she's shrunk... May 15th, 2009, baby still hanging low!
Still not bagging up! May 18th, 2009
May 23, 2009, Saturday morning and she's bagging up once again! Oh Boy! Is she fooling us again? Time will tell...
May 24, 2009 - still bagging and getting fuller, this could actually be it...!
May 26, 2009 - 7 AM, we have DRIPPING! She is full and she is dripping! The waxing should come tonight, or tomorrow! AND BABY AFTER THAT!
May 26, th 6:49 PM, Belle is restless, I put her in her paddock to muck the stall and the turd broke water! I rushed her back to the freshly mucked stall and she gave birth, it was all over by 7:15 pm and no problems!
Belle's little stud colt, name pending. His color is that of a buckskin, he does not have the dorsal stripe of the Dun, but he has heavy Dun shading on his withers, rump and along his legs. The boy even has cobwebbing on his forehead. His face displays a lovely half white, half black star circle...
Mom and baby are doing great! Welcome to our world!
Belle is getting back to being a horse as well as a dang good looking mom...
Belles first foal, Dee Van Dually is a Grullo gelding and quite the looker: AS a yearling... As a 2 year old...
Boy they change as they grow! See more of Dually on our Show Off Pages!
